Not really. I'm unemployed so whether it's Friday or Sunday, there's really no diff.
Well, ten agents are reading my ms right now. I just got an R from Jessica Regel stating she enjoyed my writing but found the plot halfway through 'melodramatic.' I'm certain she didn't finish the ms. *shrugs* Maybe it is...but this IS a book about teenagers...and fantasy...so...?? Oh well. It didn't work for her. That's okay. This wasn't her genre anyway.
Last night at 7:30 I received a partial request from another agent. So that was nice to replace the rejection with a request.
I really need to start part deux of my series. I've been putting it off because I don't know how to bring back the bad guy. Damn JK Rowling--she took all of the good stuff! Well, I should just start...since I'm unemployed, there's really no excuse.
On a final note, there is a contest to have the fabulous Barbara Poelle read your ms. To get through, you needed to create a tag for your ms. Tags are: In space, no one can hear you scream (Alien) The truth is out there...(X-Files) So mine was Fasten your chastity belt, it's going to be a wild ride. (Virgin) It sounds a bit like erotica-haha. Anyway, small victories--I've made it through to the next round! Happy Friday!
